Why work at Outland?
Experience
Outland has been planting trees since 1985. We plant over 70 million trees annually. We offer our planters professionally run projects, a longer season and a commitment to improvement. This has led to a high return rate of our experienced planters. We are owner operated and have been instrumental in advancing the working conditions and earnings of tree planters.
Safety
Outland has an award winning, industry leading safety program. We are certified in all the provinces we work in to the highest safety rating.
Camps
Our camps are provided with heated weather havens, dry tents. All our camps are inspected by government officials. Outland camps are known to be the best equipped, tightly managed camps in the business.
Management and Equipment
100% of our management is developed internally. Our field management typically average 7 years plus in the business. We have a high management to planter ratio which equals more attention for planters and higher earnings and a better season. Our Regional Managers live in area we work in and visit camps on a regular basis. We have more delivery equipment which means no waiting for trees.
Earnings
We are extremely proud of the work that all of our staff has done to produce highest planter earnings in the industry. Check out our stats page on the link below: http://outland.ca/halloffame.aspx
Camp Costs
All Companies need to recoup their costs for providing camp equipment, food and camp staff for their workers. Outland has $20.00/day Camp Costs, our competitors charge $25 to $30/day. This can work out to be $200/month in our planter’s pockets.
Length of the Season
Outland works in Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, and Alberta so we can offer a very long planting season.
