The Executive Management Team of Outland has over 100 years of combined experience working together. Outland has grown from a start-up business in 1985 to a company with more than 3,000 employees, a diverse client base, (Mining, Forestry, Oil/Gas, Utilities and Government) and operations from coast to coast. The Executive Team has consistently delivered the financial results to its shareholders every year since inception. Outland has forged several strategic supplier partnerships across the country to ensure we can meet our clients' requirements in terms of product quality and value wherever they are. Outland has also formed several First Nations and Inuit Partnerships across the country to ensure that the aboriginal people of a specific region participate in the business development and opportunities tied to a project in their area. Outland was a founding shareholder in a number of successful Alberta based companies including Red Rock Camps and Black Diamond Camps.
Simon Landy, Managing Director
Dr. Simon Landy is a founding shareholder of the Outland Group and has been an executive officer since its inception. He has been focused on business development since the early days of the company and led the Outland Group's expansion across Canada. Simon Landy is currently active in supporting and expanding our First Nation and Inuit Partnerships as well as in developing Outland's camp services business. Simon Landy graduated from McGill with an Honours B.Sc. and then earned a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Toronto before deciding to focus on a business career. David O'Connor, Managing Director
Dr. O'Connor is a founding shareholder of the Outland Group and has been an executive officer since its inception in 1985. He has worked in every facet of the organization. Dave is currently focused on the CFO role and new business development in Western Canada. Fluent in French, he has also been instrumental in the growth of Outland's Quebec business. Jeff Taylor, Managing Director
Jeff Taylor has been a part of the Outland Group since its inception in 1985 and has been an executive officer since 1992. Mr. Taylor's primary focus at Outland is operations, sales and new business development. Mr. Taylor has been involved with every aspect of the companies' operations and sales growth both geographically and by line of business. Mr. Taylor has extensive first hand project management and construction experience overseeing successful installations and operations across the country. Mr. Taylor holds a B. Kurt Metivier, Executive Vice President
Kurt Metivier has been a shareholder with Outland Group since 2011. Mr. Metivier is responsible for Outland's operations and business development with a focus on Western Canada. Kurt brings a proven track record of success and extensive experience in managing all aspects of remote workforce housing and catering. Kurt Metivier has held senior roles at Aramark (Director - Business Development), Compass Group (Director-Business Development) and Sodexo (Vice President, Business Development and Marketing). Steve Luengo, VP Sales
Steve Luengo has been with Outland Group since 1992, becoming a partner in 2000. Steve has worked on operations and sales of remote site camps and catering since 1996. Steve has worked across Canada's north, living in Thunder Bay, North Bay, and eventually settling in Toronto. Steve has managed operations staff since 1995, managing multiple projects across multiple provinces. Steve's current focus is the development of Outland's remote camp and catering business in Ontario and Eastern Canada. Steve graduated from McGill University in 1994. Ricky Boulanger, VP Sales, Quebec and Eastern Canada
Ricky Boulanger has been with the Outland Group since 2001, becoming a shareholder that same year. Mr. Boulanger's primary focus at Outland is Quebec operations, sales and new business development. Mr. Boulanger has extensive first hand project management and construction experience overseeing successful installations and operations in Quebec, Nunavut and Labrador. Alain Ouimet has been with the Outland Group since 1990, becoming a shareholder in 1997. Mr. Ouimet's primary focus at Outland is Quebec and Eastern Canada Operations and Administration. Mr. Ouimet has extensive firsthand experience on all of Outland's operations in Quebec and Eastern Canada. Manitoba Hydro's Keewatinohk Camp is Officially Open!
This past Wednesday September 16th marked the Grand Opening for Manitoba Hydro’s Keewatinohk Camp! This camp is located 90 km NE of Gillam, Manitoba and will house roughly 600 working men and women for years to come. 16th Annual FNNRYEP Closing Ceremonies
Outland Camps has been delivering the First Nations Natural Resources Youth Employment Program for 16 summers since its inception in 2000. Over the years 375 youth hailing from 50 northern Ontario First Nations Communities have been employed by Outland in this unique work experience/training/life skill building opportunity. Outland works closely with the Ontario Government through MNR, MNDM, MAA and Ontario Parks along with First Nations, Education and Industry/Commercial partners in order to make it all happen each year.
