Outland Caters Over 125 First Nations Evacuees

July 2011

Outland camps was asked to cater over 125 evacuees from Cat Lake First Nations in late July at a remote mining camp in North Eastern Ontario.  The community was evacuated during Ontario's busy fire season and was composed of many elderly, and families with young children.   The Outland catering team managed to integrate the evacuees successfully into an existing mining construction camp.   Outland was given 24 hour notice to prepare for the arrival of the Cat Lake guests.    Outland was pleased to provide catering for the guests for almost 2 weeks.

Outland has been working in North Eastern Ontario since we started in 1985.  We have worked with First Nations since we started.  We are now the premier camp and catering supplier in Ontario and were pleased to help out (on 48 hour notice).  Outland is at the forefront of aboriginal working relationships in Ontario, working with multiple First Nations on various projects in mining camps and catering, fire fighting, and training sectors.   Contact us to today to find out more.First Nations 8
